2 Day Cross Peak Dog Walk

On August the 20th I'll be setting out on my first big physical challenge of the year, along with my lovely freinds Grace Tebbutt (aka crazy cat lady) and for day 2 Cassie Hirst (another fab Rain Rescue volunteer)
Joining us on this marathon hike will be Mr Yogi Rain Rescue's chief fundraiser and all round miracle doggy, here are his before an after photos...

Even since this last image was taken back in February he's continued to improve. Yogi was found days (maybe even hours) in the local dog pound, completely shut down, covered in mange with open sores all over his little body, he barely moved and you could see in his eyes that he had just given up  after a lifetime of neglect and abuse.... but Rain Rescue saved him and slowly nursed him back to life and full health. He is now our chief fund raiser and is always busy out meeting his fans. He's just a little lad though so I'm going to have to carry him a lot of the way...

Miss Tebbutt, sadly her feline friend won't be joining us on the walk!

We're walking Compos Way which is a 30 mile hike across the Peaks from Hunters Bar to Holmfirth. We're splitting this up into 2 days which is still quite a challenge when there are 4 little furry legs in tow!

We'd love it if you would sponsor us and help spur us on, we'll be live tweeting along the way to keep you all posted on our progress so keep an eye on the Rain Rescue Twitter Feed!

Here's Mr Yogi getting in a bit of practice in his new carry sack, he weighs a tonne!
