Who

 Hello!
I'm Shelley, you may know me, you may not, so I will tell you about myself should you be interested...

I'm turning 30 on the 9th June 2014 and this scares me shitless, not least because if my health is this bad at 30 then I doubt I'll make it to 60! (I jest... a bit)

I'm a volunteer for Rain Rescue; a fab little dog & cat rescue based in Sheffield & for Friends of Ferals an even littler organisation that cares for the street cats of the city.  They are both equally brilliant and underfunded.

It seemed logical to me to commiserate being 30 by doing 30 fundraising challenges. As much as I would love to attempt, say, running 30 marathons or climbing 30 mountains, I can't, mostly because I am not Bear Grylls or Eddie Izzard... I have a job... and I'm simply not that fit!

So some of my challenges are smaller than others, and some are not physically challenging but rather, creative, or organisational. All squished together into a year (nearly).

I won't be doing all of these challenges alone and I'll be writing all about my wonderful fundraising companions (four & two legged) along the way here...

My fellow fundraisers

Grace (or Miss Tebbutt to her pupils!)
Grace helped me get into running (she is much better at it than me!) and will be joining in me for a few of my challenges, the biggest of which is our 2 day 30 mile dog walk in August 2014! We'll be setting off from Hunters Bar and following Compos Way with the help of a few other 2 and 4 legged friends including Kirsty from Grace's WI group who is keen as mustard to help fundraise for all the lovely furfaces!
