Why

I'm fundraising for Rain Rescue & Friends of Ferals because they are bloody brilliant!

Rain Rescue is run by a small team of volunteers (and now a few staff members) headed up by Jacquie & Steve, last year this small team saved the lives of over 300 dogs in proper crisis situations in and around Sheffield.

That's pretty awesome.

Friends of Ferals was set up recently by the amazing Maggie, who, along with a very small number of volunteers, helps the street cats of Sheffield. They feed, give shelter, trap neuter & treat and where possible, rehome.

That's also pretty awesome.

Here's some of the lucky ones...

This is Ralph, he was kicked so hard his leg had to be amputated, he was found on the street on Christmas Eve
This is Oliver, he also had to have a leg amputated after being left to live in a shed on an allotment with a much bigger dog that attacked him again and again
Thomas of of Sheffield's hundreds of street cats
Colin was burnt badly, probably with hot oil, he was then thrown in a canal. He's doing much better now :)

Molly was found living on the street with her siblings, just a kitten, she's now safe & up for adoption
